2023 Member meetings
The FIRA Members came together to meet the new Executive Team and plan our activities for the year.

April 2023 - Happy Hour - Wine and Beer Tasting

We all had fun with this new happy hour. Thanks to the volunteer team. Some favourite beverages were shared and games were played.

Wed Ladies Social - Coffee and Crafts
Wednesdays are always busy at FIRA. New skills are learned, new crafts are made and many stories are shared. Thanks to Dianne Kelly for leading this activity.
Summer Happy Hours
During the summer months, FIRA members open there home to have a new meeting spot to share our enjoyment of the lake and share our many stories.


Fundraiser - Pancake Breakfast
Pancake Breakfast is our annual event where we serve our community breakfast. Customers come from many places; Percy Lake, Ross Lake, Moose Lake, Haliburton, Minden…. We have many volunteers to help make this event a success.
Crafts
Many different crafts are created and this was a decorative plate; material Mod Podged on a clear plate.


Yoga
Many exercise groups are formed to keep our FIRA members fit. Gentle yoga is relaxing and is great for the mind and body.
Card Nights - Bid Euchre
Cards are enjoyed by many. Members gather to play a game of Bid Euchre Monday nights.


AGM + Pig Roast
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is followed with a PIG ROAST. The AGM reviews all the great activities and events that have happened throughout the year and it is time to celebrate.
Cornhole Happy Hours
This fun event was enjoyed by many. Thanks to our volunteers to set up and run this cornhole tournament. Fun times and the weather co-operated for us.


Harvest Lunch
The fall is a time to enjoy all the seasonal foods. Many bring homemade soups; butternut squash, broccoli soups; hamburger soups etc. Also many sandwiches and bake goods are enjoyed. It is a social activity and many stories and recipes are shared.
Cookie Exchange
Christmas treats are always great to enjoy. The cookie exchange is very popular. Members bring 3.5 dozen of their favourite cookies or squares to share and then take home 3 dozen of a variety of treats. We all taste test the treats and share our recipes.

Christmas is always time to celebrate and be festive.
